Brief Bio

Dr. Tam Truong is currently an interventional cardiologist at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System who works with our Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellows. He did seven years combined undergraduate and medical school at the University of California, Riverside, and University of California, Los Angeles.  He completed his internal medicine residency at Scripps-Mercy Hospital in San Diego, and served as a chief medical resident. Dr. Truong did his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Arizona and was a chief fellow. He stayed on to complete his Interventional Cardiology fellowship. His hobby outside of work is playing piano and guitar.

Research

Dr. Truong’s research interests include optical coherence tomography, saphenous vein graft intervention, and contrast induced nephropathy.
