Join us for an interactive, informative day filled with heart-healthy activities, screenings, information and food.

Healthy Heart Day Schedule

8 a.m. to 10 a.m.Registration and Health Fair

Health Screenings provided by University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Students, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, osteoporosis, breathing assessment and prescription consultations. (Bring a list of your medications, including dosages.) Note: these screenings are provided on a first-come, first-served basis until 10 a.m. This is a training opportunity for students, so please allow 15 minutes to complete each screening. 

Health Information – Browse information and display areas to learn about new programs and groups focused on preventing and treating heart disease and clinical trial information.

10 – 11:45 a.m.  
Learn about UA Sarver Heart Center’s focus on Cardiovascular Health & Wellness. Hear updates on the risks and symptoms of coronary artery disease and stroke, and bring your questions for our panel of experts.

Stretch your legs. Choose between a Tai Chi session or a walk around campus.




12:30 p.m.  

Pick Up Your Healthy Plant-based Lunch Box and get ready for the afternoon sessions – Food for Heart – including a translation of the latest U.S. Dietary Guidelines, the Mediterranean Heart Diet, a cooking demo on how to prepare some deliciously easy, plant-based food, and a panel Q&A covering your questions.

$35 per person. Register with a friend and receive a $5 per person discount - $60 for 2 people.
Special student rate: $15. Please bring cash or a check payable to UAF/Sarver Heart Center to the registration table. We are unable to accept credit/debit cards on Saturday.
