JoAnn Lindenfeld, M.D is Professor of Medicine and the Director of Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation Section at Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute. .Dr. Lindenfeld has been an investigator in a large number of clinical trial and has service on multiple Steering Committees, End Point Committees and Data and Safety Monitoring Committees a many many national and international multicenter clinical trials.
Dr. Lindenfeld is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American Heart Association. She was a member of the Cardiorenal Advisory Panel of the FDA for 8 years and was also a member of the FDA Advisory Panel on Circulatory Devices and is currently an ad hoc adviser. Dr. Lindenfeld is the immediate Past President of the Heart Failure Society of America.
She serves as Deputy Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Heart Failure and as a Senior Editor of the Journal of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation as well as on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Cardiac Failure. Dr. Lindenfeld served as the chairman of the Heart Failure Society Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee for the 2006 and 2010 guidelines. She is the author of a more than 200 original papers, reviews, and book chapters in the field of heart failure and heart transplantation
