Speaker: Anthony Bavry, MD, University of Florida
Topic: Diagnosis of Aortic Stenosis, Impact of Stroke Volume on Outcomes, and Assessment of TAVR Complications  

Dr. Anthony A Bavry is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida and an Interventional Cardiologist at the University of Florida Academic Health Center and the Malcom Randal VA in Gainesville, Florida. He completed undergraduate (B.S.) and medical school (M.D.) at the University of Florida and received a Master in Public Health degree from Harvard University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona, and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic.

In addition to percutaneous coronary intervention, he specializes in structural heart disease, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). His research interests include ischemic heart disease, acute coronary syndrome/thrombectomy, anti-platelet therapy, fractional flow reserve/intravascular ultrasound, and predictors of adverse outcomes following TAVR. He has published > 100 peer reviewed papers.
