Interventional Cardiology Fellowship

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program is a one-year fellowship designed for physicians seeking advanced training in interventional cardiology, with procedural expertise as a central component of their future career. Completion of an accredited ACGME Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is required.

Established in 2003, the fellowship provides intensive clinical training along with opportunities for clinical or basic investigation under the direction of faculty mentors. Fellows gain broad exposure to invasive and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including percutaneous coronary intervention, therapies for structural heart disease, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), intra-aortic balloon pump insertion, and percutaneous left ventricular assist device placement, including Impella. A procedural volume of approximately 350–400 therapeutic cardiovascular cases per fellow is anticipated.
