Anthracycline chemotherapy remains an important treatment for many cancers, but for some patients it can cause lasting damage to the heart.

This one-day scientific symposium brings together investigators from the Fondation Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence and University of Arizona faculty and trainees to examine why this injury occurs, which patients are most at risk and how to protect the heart without compromising effective cancer treatment. The program includes morning and afternoon scientific sessions, a keynote address and time for discussion.

The symposium is designed for faculty, clinicians, researchers, fellows and trainees in cardiology, oncology and related fields. Lunch and light refreshments are provided.
