Besides cardiovascular disease board certification, Dr. David Hamilton is board certified in several advanced cardiac imaging specialties, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular computed tomography. As a University of Arizoana faculty member and cardiology fellowship site director at the Southern Arizona VA Health System in Tucson, Dr. Hamilton is committed to building a robust advanced cardiac imaging program to expand care options to patients and training for cardiovascular disease fellows.

Dr. Hamilton’s research collaborations include studying chest pain presentations and interventions, prognosis in pulmonary emboli using the pulmonary embolism severity index (PESI), and clinical cardiology reviews. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications, including:
