Dr. Daniel Combs is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson.  He is also the medical director for pediatrics at the Center for Sleep Disorders at Banner University Medical Center-Tucson.  He completed medical school, residency in pediatrics, and fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Arizona. He is board-certified in pediatrics and sleep medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.  His research interests are focused on diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in children with chronic illness.  In particular, he is studying the effects of sleep-disordered breathing in children with congenital heart disease, the most common birth defect in the United States.  He is currently funded by the American Sleep Medicine Foundation, as well as the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
