The heart of women's health lies deep within the chest. Heart disease does not discriminate - 1 in 3 women will die from heart disease this year in the United States.
Learn why women need to go beyond the "bikini" view of women's health – beyond the focus on the breasts and reproductive organs – at The Heart of Women’s Health Luncheon, presented by the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center, on Friday, Nov. 3, at Skyline Country Club, 5200 E. St. Andrews Drive, Tucson. Doors open at 11 a.m.; lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m. The event is open to the public.

- Moderator: Nancy K. Sweitzer, MD, PhD, professor of medicine, chief of cardiology and director of the UA Sarver Heart Center
- Elizabeth Juneman, MD, associate professor of medicine, Division of Cardiology, UA College of Medicine – Tucson
- Khadijah Breathett, MD, MS, assistant professor of medicine, Division of Cardiology, UA College of Medicine – Tucson
- Wanda F. Moore, chair , UA Sarver Heart Center Community Coalition for Heart Health Education, who required bypass surgery despite her healthy, active lifestyle
- McKenzie Meza, high school senior living with a congenital heart condition
In addition, Gordon A. Ewy, MD, director emeritus, UA Sarver Heart Center; professor emeritus, UA College of Medicine – Tucson; and founder, UA Sarver Heart Center Women's Heart Health Education Committee, will receive the Mary Anne Fay Heart Health Advocate Award.
