A study indicates “Broken Heart Syndrome” has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Nancy Sweitzer, director of the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center discusses broken heart syndrome with Wendi Redman of KOLD News in Tucson. While it isn’t clear that the increase is tied to COVID-19 or the financial and emotional stresses of the pandemic, Dr. Sweitzer recommends people practice self care to reduce stress.
