The CARES Act increased tax incentives for donations during 2020. A charitable deduction of up to $300 per taxpayer ($600 per couples filing jointly) is available this year to those who take the standard deduction and do not itemize. People who itemize can deduct cash donations up to 100% of adjusted gross income.
