Omid Yousefian, MD

Alumni Fellow, Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Omid Yousefian chose University of Arizona for Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship training because of the breadth of expertise here. "It doesn't matter if you want to pursue general cardiology or a subspecialty, the opportunities are here," said Dr. Yousefian. "We have outstanding mentors who make you work hard, but are always available to help you. The patient diversity adds to the training here." The electrophysiology faculty, who are doing ground-breaking research and novel techniques, have solidified his interest in this subspecialty field.

A lover of nature, Dr. Yousefian enjoys Tucson's surrounding, particularly the canyons that provide hiking opportunities.
